MEMBERSHIP IN GCYFC The Gulf Coast Youth Football Conference (GCYFC) is looking for qualified, well-run, and well-financed leagues to join our family. Currently, GCYFC is made up of leagues from Hillsborough, Pasco, and Polk Counties. Click on a link below for information on joining GCYFC. Purpose of GCYFC The ultimate purpose of this Conference shall be to provide a recreational football and cheerleading program with major emphasis on fun and enjoyment for all youth interested in playing and developing the skills of football and cheerleading. It shall always be the goal of this Conference to: 1. Provide children an opportunity for fun and enjoyment through a football and cheerleading program; 2. Develop good sportsmanship and physical fitness; and, 3. Teach skills and techniques of the game of football and the sport of cheer. This Conference shall always promote “SAFETY FIRST” play, by conducting and promoting only programs with strict controls over age, weight, equipment, and the behavior of participants, coaches, and spectators. GCYFC is governed by a Board of Football Trustees and a Board of Cheerleading Trustees, made up of duly elected Trustees from all member leagues. The Board of Football Trustees is responsible for all aspects of our tackle football program, scheduling, and finances. The Board of Cheerleading Trustees is responsible for all aspects of our cheerleading program.
